Fact or fiction?
Frozen fruits and vegetables are less nutritious than fresh ones.

FICTION: Frozen fruits and vegetables are less nutritious than fresh ones.

FACT: It generally takes days or weeks for produce to get from the farm to the grocery store, during this time nutrients are lost as a result of exposure to heat, light and oxygen. Frozen produce on the other hand is frozen immediately after it has been picked; this locks in nutrients, thus making frozen fruits and vegetables more nutritious than fresh produce.
